The Timelessness of Bumper Feet

In an ever changing and unpredictable market, we’re very proud to continually meet the needs of current trends. Over the past 25 years that Bumper Specialties has been in business, we’ve seen many products become obsolete. Luckily for us, we’ve never had a shortage of new and emerging technologies that would benefit from our rubber stops. We’re no longer used on tape decks or cd players, but our rubber stops are found on iPod docks. Bumper feet are no longer needed on typewriters, but we are on computer keyboards and laptops. We used to be on VCRs (back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth), and now bumper feet can be found on an endless list of audio and video equipment.

We’ve seen products that use bumper feet come and go…but we are not concerned about bumpers ever going out of style because just as quickly as products meet their demise, new technologies emerge.

Past and present time pieces.

Many of our applications have gradually transformed over time. The clock on the mantle needed rubber feet just as much as your docking station alarm clock. Though the apparatus on which we tell time changed, the need for rubber feet did not.

Once on typewriters, now used as replacement rubber feet on laptops!

Many customers call in looking for replacement rubber feet for their laptops because the original ones fell off. We have a variety of laptop feet that will match the existing rubber feet whether you have a PC or an Apple. Typewriters utilized rubber feet the same way your laptop does. It lifts the equipment to sustain airflow and prevent overheating, and the anti-skid technology prevents it from scratching surfaces.

Rubber feet on telephones

The popular rotary phone transformed into the present day telephone, but rubber feet survived the transformation! To the cell phone obsessed, landline telephones may seem a thing of the past, but don’t discount their relevancy, offices and homes still use desktop telephones – which still need rubber feet!

As the present collides with the future, new products needing rubber feet materialize. If you know of or own a product that would benefit from our rubber bumper feet, let us know!

Amplify Your New iRadio Experience with an Acoustic Dock

Rubber feet are used to protect iPhone and iPad accessories!

The world is abuzz with the new update to the iPhone and iPad operating system.  Not only has Apple redesigned iOS7, they updated iTunes with the iRadio feature that introduces a streaming service like Pandora.  If you plan on using Apple’s new music service, you should try listening to it with Schuttenworks wooden acoustic docks for iPhones.

Schuttenworks iPhone dock

Schuttenworks creates handcrafted wooden accessories, stands, and docks for the several different Apple products.  Schuttenworks chooses Bumper Specialties rubber feet to use on the bottom of their docks to minimize sound vibration and to keep the dock in place to prevent sliding on surfaces.  These docks give an earthy look to the commonly sterile looking charging stand.  They also amplify the sound of the built in iPhone speakers without using any extra power.  Just like Bumper Specialties rubber feet, these stands are proudly Made in the USA.

Rubber Feet for Audio Equipment

In this post, we would like to highlight some interesting applications of our Rubber Feet For Speakers.  Today’s topic? Audio equipment! Our non-skid, vibration resistant bumper cushions are widely used to protect home speaker systems as sub-woofer anti vibration feet, bookshelf speaker feet, loudspeaker protectors, and amplifier spacers. With all of the intricate components that go into these state-of-the-art sound systems, don’t forget one of the simplest pieces of the puzzle: a stick-on, anti-vibration bumper stopper from Bumper Specialties. When you've got the bass turned up high enough to shake the neighbor's house, some things are bound to slide around. Don't let your speakers be one of them. With our Stick-On Rubber Bumper Stoppers on the bottom of your audio equipment, you can be sure that the only things moving will be you and your friends.

The companies we’re featuring in this post are customers of ours who make top-of-the-line speaker set ups. If sound quality is half as important to you as it is to Leon Speaker Corporation and Audience, you’ll want to get your hands on some of their sound systems as soon as possible!
