Are You Ready for Some Bumpers?

Protect Your TV with the Strongest Armor!

We are excited for the start of another grueling football season! Bumper Specialties is located outside of Philadelphia and we can appreciate passionate football fans that get excited when their team is winning and upset (that’s an understatement) when their team is losing.

Emotions can get the best of any big sports fan when watching a game, but taking the proper precautions is necessary to shield your television from very passionate fans. While watching the game wings and pizza can go flying and drinks can splash during a touchdown celebration. Also, it is not uncommon for someone to ‘accidentally’ throw a remote because of a bad call or play.

This cracked TV needed protection from TV Armor!

Do you have these types of fans in your home? If so, take a look at the quality products by TV Armor. They manufacture various sized TV Screen Protectors and TV Screen Enclosures to protect your TV from damage, theft and the elements. Just like our self-adhesive rubber bumpers, TV Armor’s TV Screen Protectors are Made in USA. Our BS-06 clear self-adhesive rubber bumper pads are placed on each corner of the TV Screen Protectors and act as a spacer between the protective shield and TV. Our self-adhesive rubber feet are also placed on bottom of TV’s and monitors for tabletop protection.

TV Armor TV Protector with Self-Adhesive Bumpers

TV Armor’s Custom HDTV Screen Enclosures are designed to prevent access and damage to the TV in an indoor or outdoor environment, including sporting venues, high traffic areas, hospitals, and school gymnasiums.

Enjoy the season without missing any of the action because of a broken or damaged TV! The die-hard football fans will thank you.

Not Your Ordinary Bumper Boat! Photo Credit: www.yachtislanddesign.com

Summer’s in full swing! People will be relaxing, cruising or fishing on their boats and yachts. Whether you have a small boat or luxury yacht, you will be sure to have a blast with your friends and family celebrating our country’s Independence Day.

How many self-adhesive bumpers are on this beautiful luxury yacht?

If you are lucky enough to own a house boat or yacht, you treat it like a second home. The obvious difference is your yacht rocks in the water making it difficult to keep objects on the boat from sliding and falling when in motion. Just like your home, yachts have self-adhesive rubber bumpers on countless applications, but on your yacht you need to expand your bumper usage. Self-stick bumper pads can be used as sound dampeners on cabinets in the kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms. This will prevent them from being damaged and making a loud slamming noise when closed. The bumper applications on your boat or yacht are endless.

Bumpers Used on Boat’s Windshield

Even if your boat does not have a cabin or living quarters, the deck still needs a lot of protection. Fishing boats, bowriders and even catamarans have many hatches and storage compartments that use our self-adhesive bumpers. In these types of applications they will prevent slamming and extra movement. Our BS-19 large square black bumper is a rattle reducer on the windshield of an open bow walk through. When walking through this opening, a bumper is placed on the small window to prevent it from slamming into the windshield it is hinged upon. We use a high quality aggressive acrylic adhesive for outdoor applications. If your boat has our bumpers on it you are in for a nice quiet ride (with the exception of a cigarette boat!) LOL!

As a proud USA manufacturer we would like to wish everyone a happy 4th of July!

Our rubber bumper feet help to avoid any damage to your floors caused by the movement of these products. The question is how do you prevent your cat from doing the same?

Rubber Feet on Kitty Scratch Pole

What to Scratch or Not to Scratch

Cat owners know that they can’t stop their cat from scratching things in their home, but they can teach them what to scratch. Cats scratch objects in their environment to mark their territory by leaving a mark and a scent. Train your cat to use the Kitty Scratch Pole instead of your expensive floors, closet doors, and furniture. Mother Earth Products, Inc. created this product with the cat and owner in mind. This particular scratching pole is an eco-friendly alternative that is safe for your pet and does not harm the environment. The base and top are made of sustainable wood and finished in PolyWhey, a durable, non-toxic finish. The core consists of a cardboard mailing tube and cardboard discs, which can be recycled.

Our BS-24 black cylindrical rubber feet are placed on the bottom of the Kitty Scratch Pole to give it more stability and to protect your floors from any nicks or scuffs. We are excited to see our rubber bumper feet on this product, as well as other unique applications. Next time you pull out your cat’s favorite food, take a look at your cabinets because our rubber bumper pads are sure to be on there too.

Don’t Be Bumped Off Your Network

Google Jumps into the Network

To say network devices play a part in our everyday lives is an understatement. Just like these devices, rubber feet are everywhere and serve as protectors.  We are constantly surfing the web, checking email, accessing our social media pages, or online shopping. Modems and routers play a pivotal part in the overall production in today’s society. Since technology is constantly changing, there is always a new product, design or upgrade that becomes available to increase overall performance. Google has recently unveiled a new Wi-Fi router called the OnHub. This tabletop router provides a new way of accessing your Wi-Fi by using the OnHub app on your smartphone. It automatically adjusts your settings to provide a better user experience within in your Wi-Fi environment.

Rubber Feet on Bottom of Routers & Modems

There are different types of network routers and modems on the market that vary in shape and size, but there is a part that is common in all of them. At the bottom of each router there are four rubber feet that protect the router and the surface it is on. At Bumper Specialties, Inc., we offer several styles of rubber feet that will fit on different types of routers. We also provide replacement feet in various shapes and sizes for this particular application just like we do for laptop feet.

Rubber Feet for Network Equipment

Protecting Your Tabletop with Rubber Feet

Household and office furniture can be easily damaged by the constant movement of these devices, but with help of these rubber feet they will not be. Our cylindrical, hemispherical, and square self-adhesive rubber feet are made of 100% polyurethane that will not mar, scratch, or stain any surface. Our rubber bumper feet can also be applied to protect many other applications that you see each day.

The Timelessness of Bumper Feet

In an ever changing and unpredictable market, we’re very proud to continually meet the needs of current trends. Over the past 25 years that Bumper Specialties has been in business, we’ve seen many products become obsolete. Luckily for us, we’ve never had a shortage of new and emerging technologies that would benefit from our rubber stops. We’re no longer used on tape decks or cd players, but our rubber stops are found on iPod docks. Bumper feet are no longer needed on typewriters, but we are on computer keyboards and laptops. We used to be on VCRs (back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth), and now bumper feet can be found on an endless list of audio and video equipment.

We’ve seen products that use bumper feet come and go…but we are not concerned about bumpers ever going out of style because just as quickly as products meet their demise, new technologies emerge.

Past and present time pieces.

Many of our applications have gradually transformed over time. The clock on the mantle needed rubber feet just as much as your docking station alarm clock. Though the apparatus on which we tell time changed, the need for rubber feet did not.

Once on typewriters, now used as replacement rubber feet on laptops!

Many customers call in looking for replacement rubber feet for their laptops because the original ones fell off. We have a variety of laptop feet that will match the existing rubber feet whether you have a PC or an Apple. Typewriters utilized rubber feet the same way your laptop does. It lifts the equipment to sustain airflow and prevent overheating, and the anti-skid technology prevents it from scratching surfaces.

Rubber feet on telephones

The popular rotary phone transformed into the present day telephone, but rubber feet survived the transformation! To the cell phone obsessed, landline telephones may seem a thing of the past, but don’t discount their relevancy, offices and homes still use desktop telephones – which still need rubber feet!

As the present collides with the future, new products needing rubber feet materialize. If you know of or own a product that would benefit from our rubber bumper feet, let us know!

Bug Shields To The Rescue

Bumper Specialties is a manufacturer of self-adhesive polyurethane rubber bumper feet, but we could see how our name might be slightly misleading….

We get a ton of calls about car bumpers. No we can’t fix your engine or rotate your tires or replace your front bumper because someone backed into you. And as much as we’d like to be able to fix your ’57 Chevy’s bumper, that is not our specialty. But what we can provide you with is our own BS-57 bumper foot that is used on automotive accessories like bug shields.

Bug shields, or ‘hood protectors’ go on the front of cars and trucks directly above the headlights and extend across the whole hood. Their name is self-explanatory – but if you’re more of a visual learner:

Bug Shield

Our bumper feet prevent the shield from banging against the car. Many automotive accessories manufacturers have designed hood protectors that successfully deflect bugs while also protecting the front body of the automobile. Not only are they aesthetically pleasing, they protect your vehicle from all types of weather and debris.

Our conical, BS-57 self-adhesive bumper is perfect for this application. Its tapered shape keeps the shield from banging against the car, thus protecting the paint and hood. Depending on the make and model of your vehicle, one of our other conical bumper feet may work better for you. If you like to take your truck though rough terrain and harsh weather, you needn’t worry. For this kind of outdoor application, we provide a strong acrylic adhesive that will stay bonded regardless of the climate.
